Spybot Search and Destroy is an excellent scanner/remover
Spywareblaster is a great protection tool - it helps prevent spyware from being installed.
Windows Defender is the Microsoft spyware scan utility
I would recommend that you install at least two scanners and one protection program. Not all scanners catch everything. Also - be sure to update the definitions as often as possible.

There is tons of free antispyware program on the internet. I like Spybot Search & Destory and Microsoft's Defender.
