If you had sex during your ovulatory cycle (typically around day 12-15) and did in fact conceive, you can have mild cramping around the time your period would begin. We call this implantation cramping. However, that would not occur until around day 28 typically, so about 13-16 days after ovulation - not 5. I would think, then, that your cramping is not due to pregnancy or your period if the unprotected sex occured during your ovulation period. It's probably something else!

Yes I agree with the pp. If you think you got preggo like 5 days ago, you wouldnt have any symptoms already. Most likely you arent even considered "pregnant" yet. It takes a good 2 days for the sperm to reach the egg, a few days for fertilization, etc etc. You would have to wait until next months missed period for an accurate reading if you had sex 5 days ago. Just not enough time there. Unless, there was a chance of pregnancy a month ago, a pregnancy test would be no help right now for this month

5 days is a little soon to have cramps due to pregnancy. it takes at least 2 weeks to have symptoms. of course you could be pregnant but right now it may just be gas or your period. take a test in a few weeks or go to the doc.

first of all, is it time for your period to come on? That could be why you are having the cramps. When in doubt about a pregnancy, get a test, or better yet, go see the doctor.

it is to early to tell .. the fact that you really want this could be putting stress on your body and creating symptoms that don't exist. good luck .. but just try to relax
