You should install a good antivirus program. Here you have some free choices:

You can try several online virus scanners. Trend Micro has a good one. Does Norton report a virus? The easiest and best way to make sure that you don't have a virus would be to backup all of your personal files and then reinstall windows completely. Then if it still shuts down at random then it has to be a hardware issue.
Starting 2000 in safe mode might help you in deleting any files. (Hit F8 while the computer is booting up and then select "Safe Mode" when a list appears)

Your computer may have some other problem that is causing it to shut down like a bad power supply or a over heating issue.

Possiblity 1:
You have open too much windows or running too much programs. virtual memory is consumed to run programs. I have met one incident whereby the comp have indufficient memory to execute programs causing it to shut down immediately.
Possibility 2:
This .dll file (shdoclc.dll) maybe corrupted or acting as a spyware/ malware, and i do not think that it is a virus.

Bott into safe mode and run a few virus scans. And I mean a few. Sometimes it has to be run a few times to get all of it out or find it. Safe mode is different for all computers but the most common way of getting into it is by restarting and when the comp is loading press F8. This should bring up the options.
also, since you have the file name, you can look in your registry...which is the brain of your hard drive. Do not go in and delete anything, unless you know exactly what you are doing. To get into the registry, you will want to click START/RUN and then type regedit.
Some of these websites may help you as well. They have free software and will run scans based on this exact error. They are secure. Fixes for error :"res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm"
DELETE APPLICATION FOLDERS
Go to Add/Remove Programs
In Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs look for any related entries for unwanted items listed below (or anything else you need to investigate or did not put in there).
UNINSTALLER Alternate SEARCH: Otherwise, advisable to locate and try right-clicking on any of the given SEARCH FOLDER items below and further search (tick include subdirectories) for the following exact text:
UN*.EXE, *UN*.EXE
This may reveal an uninstaller with label terms such as '...uninstall...EXE', ‘unins000’, or 'unwise.EXE'. Double-click that EXE, if one is found. Thereafter, check to ensure that the folder is completely gone. Otherwise, consider deleting the folder in question.
