Monkeys and apes have sex all the time for pleasure alone. The Bonobos are the "worst" if you want to call it that. (Bonobos are the smaller of the two chimpanzee species)
Bonobos have sex face to face like humans, have sex for food, have sex to settle arguments, have sex to get to know each other, etc.etc. Two females frequently rub their genitals together just for fun and pleasure. Pedophyllia and homosexuality are completely accepted and are quite common among Bonobos. Some scientists have speculated that the human-chimpanzee common ancestor was more like bonobos than the common chimpanzee for a variety of reasons some of which are sexual.
(By the way, the word is "wondered", not "wandered")

This is an easy one. If the world gets too hot, we've proven that we can survive it because the "Cradles of Civilization" were in hot, dry areas. If the world gets cold, then we've already proven that we can withstand ice ages, and that's without any "high" technology. If the world gets overpopulated, it will, out of necessity, balance itself out. I don't think we need to worry about surviving the next 100 years. The real question is how to we keep the next 100 years from becoming the next Dark Age.

Animals don't know they are having sex for procreation. They do it because it feels good, and if it didn't feel good they wouldn't do it. For animals, procreation is the byproduct of the act, but not the conscious reason for it. Humans are in fact the only species who have sex for the conscious purpose of procreation, and not just for pleasure.

Dolphins and humans are the only creatures who have sex for both pleasure and procreation.

Actually, we are probably the only creatures who have sex expressly for the purposes of procreation.

Since we are able to understand the consequences of our actions, we know that if we have sex it is likely to lead to conception. But most other creatures are not able to link cause and effect, and do not "know" that if they have sex, babies will result. They have sex purely as a physical need - in exactly the same way as they eat when they are hungry, they have sex when they are on heat.

However, it is true that bonobos and dolphins also have sex for "social" reasons.

I think all animals have sex for pleasure. I don't know of any animal that thinks Aaaah! I'd love a baby!
No, their hormones take over, the female is in season which excites the male and off you go. Nature takes its course.

No, they're not.
I've once seen this nature programme, and in it they had a particular species of monkeys, that live happily in abundance somewhere. Anyways, these monkeys engage in all sorts of sexual games for the sake of pleasure, and not just for breeding.
