On a more serious note, you need to be more specific about how you feel like you dont belong.....your question does not help us help you.

But dont worry.....I dont have much in common with my folks...we dont get along much either.....well not for long stretches of time...but I still love 'em so it does not matter if they see a pile of bricks when I see art, they like curry I like roast they believe in god and I doubt. Family, you cant choose em...but you will never know another person as well as you know them.

We don't always fit in with our families as much as we would like to. I have learned that its more important to work on being a good person. Be happy with yourself. Do good things to other people. Grow in your wisdom and spirituality. You do fit in with the family of God.

Me too. yet you're 18 and have not any thought the countless possibilities in front of you, the open doors, the stable surprises existence has to furnish. you haven't any longer any thought how eye-catching you're. What i'd provide to bypass lower back to 18 and do all of it greater desirable. you will have plenty self belief in case you're able to see you from my perspective. Any 50 year previous wealthy efficient individual would commerce places with an 18 year previous with the main suitable of existence in front of them. you sense jaded and uninteresting with the aid of fact you're clever and have not related along with your Passions yet. bypass locate your hobby and stay for it. take possibilities, make blunders, stumble and fall, in case you're actually not wiping out now after which you're actually not attempting complicated adequate.

There are alot of people that feel like they don't fit into their family.

It is your mind trying to tell you that you don't belong with your family, i have wetn through that.

You have to tell yourself that you were given your family, that they love you for who you are. And that they would never trade you for anyone in the world.

Best wishes

sometimes, we really feel that we don't belong in our family somehow especially if we don't really get along well with the family members but in my opinion belongingness in a family should start from within.. you have to make yourself feel that you belong because if you can't do that you'll always feel that you are a nobody in your family.

Most people do at some points in their lives....You probably just have different interests, beliefs or values. It's okay, just having the same blood gives ya'll something to have in common. Talk to your family and you will start to see random things that you have in common. This is the best way to get close to them. You may invite them to participate in something you enjoy and you may be asked to try something new, that they enjoy.

I feel the same way with my family, but that is because I am the 'black sheep' in my family. I have learned to accept this at 36 and move on. I see them, love them and talk with them, but there is no real connection as in they "get me". They don't agree with the way I live and I don't agree with the way they live--we agree to disagree. Move on with your own life.

I feel exactly the same way but I think it's just down to your interests. If you think about what you like to do you will realise that it isn't the same as what the rest of your family like to do.
