There is the obvious BC, but it could also be said for any man that has been questioned about their cheating ways by a partner/wife. It could also be any woman (in a same sex relationship) who is being questioned on her loyalty. Then again it could be a gay man being questioned about his closeness to a female friend. The reality is no one really owns that expression and it or derivatives of it are probably too frequent to mention.

Bill Clinton about his affair with Monica Luninski (not sure about the spelling on her second name). She was a White House aid. He lied about thier affair but got caught out by sprem stains on her dress when she took him to court then he put his hands up and admitted it. it must of been about 5 years ago now.
