No.
Cold water causes burping in the mother. Room temperature is better in many cases.
You need extra sleep when you are pregnant. You are not lazy. You are listening to the increased needs of your body and your baby. Walking is good exercise, but you must have extra sleep every night!
Eat with good nutrition in mind: milk, vegetables, fruit, fiber - or take fiber pills to stay regular, low-fat protein, dairy, yogurt, soy-tofu and such, and fruit for dessert! Ok, ice cream or low-fat ice cream when you want a treat.
Forget soda, white sugar, and white flour and white bread......whole grain or 10 grain bread is best for you.
Congratulations and be happy!

A) I practically lived on ice water when I was pregnant with all of my children. None of them had colic.
B) I was exhausted when I was pregnant with my daughter and, most of the time, when I got very tired I gave in and slept. My labor really only lasted from about 10am until I had her at 3:15. She only took three good pushed to be born. I'd say that's not a bit lazy!
To sum it up... I'd say that while those things may happen in some pregnancies, it's not universally true.

no neither one of them is true. if the cold water was true that would go for ice cream to and when your in labor the only thing your suppose to ingest is ice chips. and all pregnant women sleep more than usual because your body is changing so much to grow a child. i'm six months and i still sleep quite a bit. i slept a lot with my son and ingested many freezing cold things and my son is just fine no colic and he is definitely not lazy

No none of these are true, the only kind of water I ever drink is ice cold water, and none of my kids where ever colic, and I all so slept alot with my fifth son and my labor was not slow. These are just old wives tales, don't listen to them. But if this doesn't make you feel at ease, talk to your doctor about them, and he will confirm to you that these are old wives tales, not to listen to them.

These are old wive's tales. There is no medical or research basis to back either one of these up.

Neither are true. You need to speak with your doctor more, do some reading and get WAY more educated.
