David Lee Roth was a showman with mega talent as a front man for Van Halen. In the early 1980s, he rocked with his "Running with the Devil," "Jamie's crying," and others. Hagar is okay as the frontman, but lacks piazzaz that Roth had. Only problem with Van Halen, nevertheless, was Eddie Van Halen was more talented that Roth, and Roth couldn't accept this simple fact.

I personally don't care for either, although you must admit David Lee Roth was a great performer-too bad he's an egotistical a$$hole.

I like Roth so much more as the voice of VH. I enjoyed Sammy with Montrose and his solo stuff but not with VH.
