Nope, chimps are not strong swimmers and generally avoid the water - that's why you often see zoos with moats to keep them in their enclosure. It's not completely unheard of for a chimp to go swimming, but it's very uncommon.

No, no other primate can swim remotely as well as a human. They can't control their breath the way we do, their hair is lined up the wrong way for streamlining (our body hairs, such as they are, line up with water flow), and they lack the subcutaneous body fat that gives us buoyancy and streamlining.
These are some of the reasons that promped Elaine Morgan's "aquatic ape" hypothesis of human evolution.

this can be an undemanding one. If the international receives too warm, we've shown that we can live to inform the tale it because the "Cradles of Civilization" were in warm, dry parts. If the international receives chilly, then we've already shown that we can upward push up to ice a lengthy time period, and that is with none "extreme" technologies. If the international receives overpopulated, that is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i don't think of we want to pressure about surviving the subsequent one hundred years. the authentic question is a thanks to we save the subsequent one hundred years from turning out to be the subsequent darkish Age.
