i was using google at my freinds this morning and he down loaded an office file so we could type our letters.i cant find it with yarhoo

Your question is difficult to understand but you can download a free office suite with word processor, spreadsheet, presentation and database manager called OpenOffice.

i wish i knew mate, i would download it also, there is a programe which i use that will open office documents.called open office by sun microsystems.
its not office but it is all the same, word excell etc all there but called different names. it was made by people like you who find paying for office is ridiculas it should be dree.the programe works wonderfully, i use it every day

You are looking for OpenOffice. It is an Office suite like M$ Office. It can read and write M$ Office files and best of all, it is free.
