I have turned it on and off multiple times, it sounds like it is starting up, but the monitor will not come out of hibernation. I desperatly need my computer. Any help would be great.

Also it is a desktop. I did download a large game but it was working fine.

does the computer go through its checks? like the three lights on the keyboard, the hard drive light, floppy and cd??

if so ,, try unhooking and hooking your monitor back up on both ends and check the cord from the wall, sometimes they have not been pushed in all the way and has backed out

Besides other people's advice check the motherboard's battery too whether the machine is Notebook or Desktop. Two of my Notebooks had the same problems.

Borrow a friend's monitor and hook it up to yours.
Call those Geek guys to come look.

sounds more like a video or moniter problem
