I too get headaches sometimes in the morning, but since they are just at the front of my head usually, I believe that is a sinus headache. It usually goes down after I wake up, the fog burns off outside, and I drink some water and coffee. (Of course, I am terribly addicted to caffeine, so it could just be a coffee-jones headache). But I live in a valley where moisture collects, so morning sinus problems are a constant. Have you recently moved to a moist area, or is the humidity higher where you are than it used to be? This can cause headaches of the sinus variety. Try a dehumidifier to offset the humidity and it might help, but be sure to drink enough water, as it will dehumidify YOU as well as the atmosphere!

It could be several things. It may just be the way you are sleeping. Maybe a new pillow will do the trick, or mattress--you may need a new one or try flipping your mattress over--you should do this every so often because our mattresses get worn in one spot, or if you sleep sitting up or have your neck kinked somehow. I have this problem because I like to read before sleep and if I fall asleep with my head propped up I will wake up with a headache. Myself I also need two pillows to sleep. A chiropractor may be another option. If the propblem still persists you may want to contact your doctor just to rule out any kind of health issues. Hope this helps

Migraines (vascular headaches) are localised to one side or the other of your head, never front and back as you described. I believe you're suffering from what's called a "Turtle Headache", which is caused by a lack of oxygen while you're sleeping. The most common cause of this is sleeping with head under your duvet or blanket all night long. If that sounds like something that you do, sleeping with your head under the duvet (therefore the name 'turtle'), then try keeping your head exposed so you can breathe fresh air. Good luck, and I hope that solved your problem!

Are you getting enough sleep? Sometimes I get tired during the day and need to take a nap. If I have time to sleep until I wake up on my own, I'll take it. If I have to set an alarm clock to wake myself up I'll just skip the nap, because if I don't get all the sleep I need I wake up with an excruciating headache.

You are probably sleeping with your head in the wrong position. Try rolling up a towel and placing it under your neck.
Or, you may be sleeping soundly and not changing position during the night.
Or, maybe the change of weather has affected you.
In any case, if it lingers I'd see a doc.

Do you drink a lot of coffee/coke/tea etc?
If so your probably waking up caffeine withdrawal, start by reducing your intake over the course of a week. at the end of it your headaches should be gone or at the very least reduced.

dehydration causes headaches so drink a bit more fluids (not alcohol which dehydrates you ). take mild pain relief such as paracetamol before going to bed this could help with the morning headache. sinus problem could be why your nose hurts so just take some pain relief anyway

Could be to do with what you eat or drink before bed or what time you go to bed.But to be totally honest with you surely a quick trip to the doctor would be the best idea?
