I saw two of them last Thursday - that's so sad. The funny thing is, research shows that starting the commercials early does nothing to promote early shopping: it just annoys people. Maybe they'll get the hint one of these years.

I liked the good ol' days where Christmas had to wait until thanksgiving is over. I saw Christmas things on sale right after Labor Day. I love Christmas, but I am beginning to be burned out. It's all about money. He who has the most cash wins!

I work retail and if you don't, then you really don't see what goes on behind the scenes. We get Christmas stuff in summer and it has to be placed on the floor before the end of September. If people hated it being that early, they sure wouldn't buy it, but they yank it off the shelves as quick as we get it to the floor.
Before December is over, we will have Valentines stuff coming in.

Naw, a lot of people go Christmas shopping this early. A lot like to beat the last minute rush, or have people far away that they have to mail it to etc. And besides, the early bird catches the worm, correct?

I even saw the MTS equipment van with a Christman rift on the dumper yesterday. Mass transit of the mind and body.

I am not sure why you find that hard to believe. They always start this early. Come the week of Thanksgiving they will be in full force.
