Bit of a difficult one - One thing to remember, no pregnancy is the same. It's always different everytime apparently. My wife suffered from cramps, morning sickness etc for about 6 months!!

Mild on and off cramps are fine, its just your uterus stretching and your ligaments being placed under strain from the extra weight. I had mild cramps from before my period was even due all the way through the first trimester and on and off throughout the second. Everything is fine (I'm 34 weeks now and getting the odd cramp still but they are now considered to be "Braxton Hicks Contractions"!)

My doctor and midwife explained all this to me. Only if the cramps are very persistent, very severe or accompanied with bleeding do you need to seek medical advice ASAP as this can be a sign of a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy.

I say CAN be because often nothing is wrong at all. Some women get cramps around the time their period would have been due. We all have different symptoms in pregnancy.

Tee hee. Almost anything is common.

Get all the baby books, sit down and read them, whilst you have a hot water bottle on your stomach to get rid of the cramps. My girlfriend is now at 38 weeks. The pain & discomfort are coming back, but are nothing compared to the last 24 hours when she will be in labour.

Good luck!

it is very common to have cramping it's your bodys way of getting ready for a growing baby. with my son i had some severe cramping to where they checked for an ectopic pregnancy but everything was fine and with this one i had some cramping but it wasn't even close to as painful as the first. it all depends on the pregnancy not one is the same. i wouldn't worry about it but if you do start to get worried just state your concerns to your ob. but I'm sure everything is fine. good luck

You do need to see the Dr. But, Do you have any bleeding with it? Cramp might not mean anything , But sometimes they can mean something serious. 2 months is early to be having cramps. I'm 5 months and its normal because im growing. The Dr. says as lond as i can still fill the baby moving everything should be fine. I think you should talk to your Dr.

Yes I had stomach cramps around 16-18 weeks. They are called round-ligament pains, they are practicing stretching and contracting your uterus for the growing baby, If anything gets too severe you can always and should always call your ob they are very helpful with any ?'s you have!

Yes they are, I've had really bad cramps throughout all three of my pregnancies so dont worry it is normal, as long as you dont bleed, I think its just the baby growing

I had groan strain with my third, and that was no joke she was that big, and I'm so small, so don't worry about a little bit of discomfort, just be glad you haven't got what I had, I couldn't walk or stand up straight, daughter is now 11 and over 5ft tall
