Make sure you have a strong resume with a lot of theater experience on it and are well-trained having studied several years with excellent acting teachers or coaches.

Do you mean a Talent Agent or a Talent Manger? A Talent Agent represents actors and submits them to casting directors, producers, etc. for auditions in film, television, movies, theater, industrials and various industry related projects. SAG actors must sign only with a SAG franchised Talent Agent. A Talent Manager, also referred to as, a Personal Manager, is one that guides the career of entertainment professionals. The responsibility of the talent manager is to oversee the day to day business affairs of the artist, to advise and counsel talent about professional matters and personal decisions which may affect their career.

Some Talent Agents specialize in one area such as commecials.

Some actors have a Talent Agent and a Talent Manager.
