Speaking from experience, if this guy has a job where he walk a lot, you better get used to doing his work. I broke my fibula and my ankle and tore my Achilles tendon in March. I just started back to work 3 weeks ago. I had a job where I was up on my feet and walking a lot. I now have a boring desk job due to I can no longer be up walking. The pain is still very bad at times. I ache and I swell. I have a plate and 14 pins and screws. It has been almost 8 months and I still suffer greatly. I have gained 30 % range of motion but that is defiantly not enough to be up on my feet all day long. Good Luck at work

Well first off all it depends what sort off fracture he has,has he had a operation and had plates pins inserted, and where the fracture is.All fractures take all differant lengths off time to heal thats why i ask what fracture he has.If he has no pins etc and juct a plaster cast it can be anything up to 8wks all depending if the bone is in the right allignment and growning new bone,if not it can be longer. Then once hes out off the plaster cast he may need physio to strenghen the muscles, ligaments as he will not have alot off strengh in that leg also have some muscle wastage. Also he will have to build hes confidance up to walking again without crutches and not having the cast on.So really i think it could be 2-3 mths yet before he returns or maybe longer.Email me if you want further answers.

It depends on the places you broke your leg and the nature of the breaks—was surgery required? Fractures tend to heal in 6 weeks. If one can be properly casted then a return to work is possible in a few days though transportation could be a problem.

I think Groucho Marks would have said "Now, stay out of those two places!"

A normal break takes at least 6 weeks to heal....it depends if there are any complications or how severe the two breaks are. A friend of mine was still at work with a broken ankle a couple of weeks after the break. No set time sorry...without knowing the kind of break and how badly his mobility has been affected...and what kind of job you are covering.

just to show you how to recognize- finding on how earlier the smash became- putting it in a solid won't do an excellent purchase. A "callous" starts forming on the bone interior some days of the preliminary smash. If the bone isn't set properly earlier this starts- that's amazingly complicated if no longer impossible without re-breaking it to get it to heal interior the proper place. many times- after a week- at maximum 10 days, there in basic terms isn't plenty you're able to do. you certainly desire to get the leg immobilized to stop any added harm from happening. No physician will pin or do any form of bone surgical treatment on a puppy till that's rather needed- the canine remains starting to be and pinning/ doing surgical treatment will in all probability reason greater issues interior the destiny. that's common for a canine to chew at solid- annoying yet regularly occurring. inspect the Elizabethan collar that others reported- yet those are person-friendly to interrupt and get off if no longer geared up properly. you additionally can spray the solid with bitter apple to maintain him from chewing at it. that's no longer probably a possibility to maintain your canine sedated the total time he has a solid on- your speaking 6-8 weeks. shop him crated with the collar on and in basic terms enable him out on leash walks and shop him leashed interior the domicile.

Approx. 2 months maybe more depending on how much physical work is involved in your line of work. I broke my leg and had a cast on for 1 1/2 months. Mind you I was 12 and my bones healed much faster at that age, it's hard to say. Hopefully a doctor could answer your question. :)

I work in a hospital in Sussex and my friend has broken her ankle. She has just come out of plaster after 6 weeks and will be going back to work in the next week or two. With bones it depends on how they are broken and if they have had to have surgical intervention with plates or screws attached to the bone. If they are simple fractures then he should be off for a minimum of 8 weeks but could be alot more if he needs a course of physiotherapy. So many more paydays until after xmas!!!!

Well it depends on the break points and if surgery was required. I did it also and was out for 4 months. Due to the fact it was not healing as fast as most people. It varies from people. If the job was just sitting at a desk they might get to come back sooner. Good luck
