What do you do with the lemon once you put it on your face to get rid of the freckles? Do you leave it on or take it off?

Lemons aren't going to get rid of freckles. A good products to try is Exuviance Skin Lightener Gel. You apply it everyday and the freckles will become less noticeable. And a little bit of this product goes a long way.

Freckles are melanin, which is produced by malanocytes. They are in the bottom layer of your epidermis, which is the outer layer of your skin. Lemon juice will not even begin to penetrate all the way through the epidermis into the melanocytes. There are prescription drugs that will fade your freckles, but lemon juice, sadly is not one of them. Sunscreen will help, because exposing freckles to sunlight cuases the melanocytes to produce more melanin, and sunscreen will reduce the sunlight exposure.

I hate to break it to you but lemons don't affect your freckles at all. Buy some nice cover up if they bother you that much. Freckles are actually part of your skin pigment, applying something external to them wouldn't do anything. Personally I think freckles are cute. Good luck!

Let the juice dry for about 10 mins and wash it off and pls discard the lemon!
