i am trying to improve the handling of 2000 corsa 12v without spending a lot of money on it curently it roles and dives like a stick in the sea any advice would be greatfuly recieved.

Get your shock absorbers and suspension checked out. That is probably where the problem lies, and leaving it will only make it worse and more expensinve.

First of all check that your existing shocks are in good order. Secondly check your anti-roll bushes at the front of the cross.
Thirdly it sounds like you are probably trying to become one of those 'Chav' racers, so if all else fails, buy some Viagra on the internet, and rub it all over the springs

They have in the auto supply, screw in spring lifters, for about 5-7 bucks, you jack up the body to stretch the spring and use a ratchet extension to turn them into the spring loops.

sound like you have worn shocks...spring helpers will probably only aggravate your handling problem...you can find these at most auto-parts stores, but you are ultimately going to have to replace your shocks.
