I not only be furious, i would be livid.
if he thinks he is being funny; he have a sick way about him that you should not entertain knowing .
He strike me of some one very insensitive, insecure, and sick.
playing with your feelings the way he did.tricking you in that manner, I think you deserve an apology from him; a proposal is something very serious matter; but he is making a fool out of you!!! Don't let him get away with it. tell him off. How would that person feel ;if you told him you were expecting a baby; let him sweat it for a while and say; oh i was kidding you about it.
And trust me when i say you're better off without him.

I'd ask him why he's insecure about the marriage. It sounds less like an actual joke, more like a man who's made a serious proposal but has then started to worry about the consequences of marriage.

oh what a hard slap across the face this would be! i would probably be so embarrest that i would play along with him an tell him that was part of his joke , i was joking as well. and then find some excuse to get him out of my life....i would never trust him again!

well first i will be ofcourse in shock feel belittled , humilated but i will overcome with it without showin all my emotions.
i will hold his hand and say " I WAS KIDDING TOO" drop his hand and walk off laughing (real or artificial) and never ever be carried way with my emotion
i would forget it and concentrate on my work
and never take that guy seriously any more..........as they r alot more beautiful and serious people out there

I would be extremely pissed off. That would be something I wouldn't get over quickly either. That is not something that you joke around about, that is a serious matter. All hell would break lose in him world.

I would leave him. That's a very cruel joke to play on someone you love, I wouldn't want to be with someone that could be that mean and thoughtless. He would have just shown his true colors to me.
