Rogers has been a good pitcher for several years, but even at his peak he wasn't nearly as good as Roy Halladay.
In each of the past five seasons, Halladay has put up a better ERA than Rogers. He also has a 20-win season and a Cy Young Award in that span, of which Rogers has neither. Halladay also has a better WHIP, and a far great K/BB ratio than does Rogers. Even this season, with Rogers pitching for a loaded Tigers team, Halladay put up better numbers.
I'd also choose Halladay because of the fact that he's about thirteen years younger than Rogers, who is likely on the downside of a nice career. It's not a knock on Rogers, it's just that Halladay is the better pitcher.
Now, if you made me choose between Halladay and Verlander, that would be difficult choice.

Easy. Halladay. He's about 50 years younger, and has more dangerous pitches. Rogers is an OK story (as long as we don't find out he ALWAYS cheated), but the anger management and the pinetargate really puts a black cloud over him too. I'm glad he didn't win.

Roy Halladay,
because he is an All-Star caliber pitcher, and he won a Cy Young Award. If he could improve his fielding ability, he will surely be far superior than Rogers, and he should do it, because he is a young lad.

Halladay.
Only because of the future. Personally I think Rogers is a better pitcher right now but you have to look at it over 4-5 years it is a no brainer to go with a very good young guy over Rogers. How much longer will Rogers last?

Def Halladay..he's much younger than Rogers and he's just unhitable all year and he's a CY Young candidate every single year..Rogers is good but he is very vulnerable

I would pick Halladay because he's been in the running for the Cy Young for the past three or so years and he's been an ALL-STAR Canidate every year since he won the C.Y.

Halladay is younger and has been a more dominant pitcher. Kenny is ready to retire.

HAlladay. Younger by around 10 years, can dominate a game at ne time and even when not dominating usually very good. Oh yeah and his curveballs retarded
