it seems pipes get frozen,,,is this real the issue and what is the solution? Thanks

Yes it can happen. And there is a rather cheap and easy fix too!

Go down to your local hardware / plumbing supply store and ask them for the 1 inch thick foam insulation with the seam down the side - this is normally black. This pipe looking thingy will help stop the water freezing by adding a barrier. Put it over the pipe, and wrap it with duct tape so that it stays in place.

For about 10 meters of the stuff, it should set you back about $30.
