For answerers before me, Iraq is NOT a STATE OF OHIO issue...the guys and gals in Columbus have nothing to do with foreign policy.
How about his position on the Issues on the ballot such as casino gambling, the funding of education since the DeRolph decision (that will make you look very smart, unless you talked about it in class already),.

What are Ohio's plans for establishing and bringing more manufacturing industry into the state, and what would be your role in promoting that?
ALSO: What can you do to help Ohio keep jobs in the state from moving elsewhere? What incentives can be developed to keep Ohio manufacturers from outsourcing?

How about a question about Iraq:
Ask if the government is considering pushing for the adoption of the Norwegian model of oil management in the new Iraqi government. Norway has the highest standard of living in the world because of the way they manage their oil. With many times more oil in Iraq than in Norway, Iraq should be able to live even better. Is the US government even considering allowing the Iraqi government take control of its own oil, or will it go to private citizens?

Ask if they believe that "illegal" immigrants should be given amnesty for breaking the law?
Ask if they believe that employers who break the law by allowing illegal immigrants to work for them, should be punished?
Ask what their plan is to save jobs in Ohio?
If the rep has already voted on issues, get a record of his scorecard and ask why he voted for the items that he voted for that sparks your curiousity. Type in "Dewine voter scorecard" in an internet search engine. Replace Dewine with the name of the Ohio rep that is visiting your campus.

I would ask, "Since our old employment staple, manufacturing, is on the decline, what is our new focus going to be in the state of Ohio?"
