Well, honestly, just try to be genuine and nice... If that isn't you, then don't be something that you aren't. Who would you rather make happy? Yourself or somebody else? Well, of course some people take it a bit too far... but just try to find a happy medium!

Keep apologizing, make it clear you know what you did wrong, and avoid making the same mistake(s) again. It will take awhile but eventually people will accept your apology as genuine, as long as you don't give them any reason to doubt it. Good luck!
