is it cos the body count of american soldeirs would be 100 times higher then in iraq, or is it cos military action might escalate and neighbouring countires could join the war,i.e china, russia?

Fighting North Korea would be easy since it's a unified military. However we currently are fighting a broader war ie Afghanistan and Iraq not to include other trrop deployment's. Basically were stretched.

They're too busy in Iraq, and the average american is a little fed up with starting wars.
This, btw, is also the reason why Iraq and North Korea risk being fresh with the US and the UN.

They are learning from their mistakes. They realize that Rumsfeld and the whole Bush administration is so incompetent the they can't even beat cavemen in Afghanistan and fanatics in Iraq that don't even have ammo for their guns. Oh thats right, Rumsfeld gave them the ammo & guns so it would be a never ending war.

i think i heared somewhere that they have the 5th best army in t world... can this be true? if yes, this is the answer...
but anyhow... koreans have shown a nuclear capability... as small as this may seem, noone wants to play with fire... even if it may be a small one..

it's hard to fight a country who would fight back to the death, north korea is not a muslim country but a communist country, if u remember the second world war, korea and vietnam......it's proof only the communists will win.
