Speakers bring sound/ music to life.

Microphones are the opposite. Sounds go into a microphone, then into a recording device.

Where do you find your computer speakers? Look at your monitor (the screen). There should be a pair of speakers on either side of the monitor.

Pop in a music CD then you should be able to tell where the sound comes from.

If you want to record with a microphone, do these:

Buy a proper PC mic (from a PC shop). Connect it to your soundcard, then record. Please learn how to use it before attempting to record.

Good luck.
