Are the tips the same for women of all races?

Try a makeover at a cosmetics counter. Some are even free, and the women there are trained in knowing what colors will complement you.
Also try Covergirl. They have free beauty quizzes to match you with the right makeup colors. They have a lot of great tips and how-to's on choosing colors, and application of makeup.

After you've gotten some ideas and/or suggestions, try a virtual makeover. Some are free, others aren't, but you can try out different looks on your own face (or a model who looks like you.) It's a fun way to experiment before you buy, which would end up costing you a lot of money if you bought a lot of different colors to try on your own.

Hi there first of all Congratulations for wanting to change your make up. It feels great to change something in your apparience you feel like a totraly new person, wether its your hair makeup,, clothes etc.. Well you could start by buying this Almay Makeup its a super great product, you can buy it in any pharmacy store this brand is wonderful because there is only 3 shades and makes it easy to chooseform. The colors are : light medium and dark. Whats great about these is that they blend into your own skin color and your skin looks natural and healthy. Then try out light colors for eyeshadow like a Revlon brand or L'oreal. Try out the light browns light pinks light purple etc.. they look great. To Start apply a white or bone color eyeshadow on entire eye also lid and under your eyebrows curve. Then apply the color of your choice in the your eyes and then use a eye brush and difuse it all over you eyes. this will make your eyes have a 3-D effect. And dont forget the mascara in your upper and lower eyelashes. This makes your eyes stand out more.
For the lips apply a darker shade than your lipstick. I would recommend a light almond or glossy brown color for lipstick. if its glossy even better.
For Blush apply a brownish pink on cheecks and chin. There is a great product in Victoria's Secret its called "Afterglow" this gives you the final touch and glow. I hope this helps you out!!!
Have a wonderful time.

Make-up is about trial and error. I recommend looking for a consultant in your area who will sit down with you and let you sample and find what you like. Mary Kay has a wonderful consultant locator at www.marykay.com. I have used there products for 12 years and have been selling it for 4 years now. Don't go and spend money on something that will sit in a drawer because you decide you don't like it when you put it on. Mary Kay has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Good Luck and remember if you feel beautiful people will see you that way whether you are wearing a lot of make up or none.

Honey, I'm 26 and the only makeup I have ever worn is black mascara and lip gloss or a sheer lipstick. My favorite mascara is Clinique Long Pretty Lashes. When I go out at night, I use some charcoal eye-liner.

mary kay is good coz if you hate it once you get it home you can return it. Otherwise I would recommend a cream powder foundation - its easy to apply and blend. Brown eyeliner suits just about everyone. As does black mascara. Go for natural browny colours. Theyre hard to get wrong, and you'll definitely avoid that clown look. I would give blush a miss for a while until you get confident. Its tricky, and easy to get wrong. Also don't forget a light eyebrow pencil. It really 'finishes off' your look. Dont 'draw on' the eyebrows, use light small strokes to make them look perfect. Have fun!

Talk to a gay friend, or rethink what the new you wants to be and search accordingly. Remember darling you are doing all of this for you and not for the boys. pay attention also to eye and hair colour, lip size and shape, and if you only need a little blush for the cheek line and a neutral lip colour. That's usually enough,,really..

Skin care and makeup ingredients should be an important factor to you, especially if you are replacing a lot of makeup products. Arbonne has makeup sold individually or as sets, based on your skin tone, cool, warm, or neutral. If your not sure, you can alwas choose neutral colors. Arbonne's products are all pure, safe, and beneficial. No animal byproducts or testing! (um..did you know most cheap cosmetics have animal fat, and mascaras with bat poop?) yuck. Arbonne has a 45 day return policy as well. If you want more info, or skin care sample...e-mail me at loridori4@sbcglobal.net

Buy some products you think you might be interested in and try them out. If it looks bad you can always wash it off! Trial and error is the only way you will learn what works for you. Good luck and don't stress over this too much, it should be fun for you.

1. brown eyeliner gives a natural but noticable look for anyone.
2. no liner on top!
3.try not to get mascara too dark for your lash color. (don't do bottom, too much trouble)
4. if you have brown eyes try golds and purples and greens for your eyes. if you have blue eyes try bronzes and blues.
if you have green eyes try greens, blues, bronzes, and pink are pretty too!
5. colored lipgloss over lipstick will look better.
6. don't get blush unless it goes well. don't get bright colors.

you don't have do you all of these, but I would def. suggest the eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow.
you want to look sleek but you still need to show off you fun, young side.
