Why do you assume that they do?
With the Internet available I think most of the world is aware that Africa has plenty of cities and culture. Also, I think many of us assume that people who do still live in huts and use stones for utensils are not lesser than we are. But even to be admired for thier simplified lifestyle.

I am part of this world and I dont have a problem with Africa. I also rather doubt that you would cutting your food with stones and living in a hut using the internet. I do feel bad for many places in Africa since there are alot of people who are suffering but I definitly dont have any of the people . The only thing I could say I hate about Africa is the fact that so many people are having problems and hope that someday soon things get better for all of them because no one should have to suffer like so many do.

Who says the world hates Africa? It seems from the news that Africans hate Africa, or why else would they keep massacring eachother? Sure, the Europeans left a mess when they pulled out of most of their colonies, but at some point we have to also blame the individuals who are swinging the machetes.

based to what ive read, some part of africa are developing , some really indeed needs support financially and infrastructures are badly needed, but how can it be resolve? it will take long years of planning and studies pertaining to the resources , environment and aid coming from rich countries and organization concern to the well being of africans. only few hate africa, mostly wants to extend help to this less fortunate africans.instead hate them, help and teach and educate them
they are also humans, needs concern, love and sympathy. now if you are racist, forget it. africans dont need racist people. i travel a lot but never been in africa, and im one of the leader of NGO's , our mission is to educate people and help the less fortunates.

I lived in Africa for 14 years (South Africa, probably the most developed African country.) To be honest Africa is a backward, unevolved continent. If you compare Africa to Europe during any period of time, Europe will always be more evolved and developed.
And I'd say the world doesn't hate Africa. It pumps billions of dollars into it every year. What has this actually accomplished? People are always running off to Africa to adopt (not just celebs).
Its leaders are always corrupt and there are always wars happening in Africa. An assortment of disease are rampant. African countries constantly rely on foreign aid to survive.
Now about my old country... South Africa is an absolute dump. It has the 2nd highest levels of rape and murder in the world. Wikipedia even has a seperate article just for crime in South Africa. Its not safe for peope to walk in the streets there, you always have to watch your back. The new leaders encourage reversed racism (against the Whites who actually built up South Africa). Jacob Zuma, a leader of the ruling party, said he took a shower to rid himself of AIDS even. Babies are raped there, then cut up for black-magic (which is still heavily believed).

I have never been to Africa but dream of visiting there someday, i find it an almost magical place ( I'm not even sure why) it has always fascinated me and i hope that i can see the difference in where you live to what is a common (and very wrong) belief of what it is like. I am an Australian and all of the people i know realize the immense progress and developments that have been made.
