I am in my last year in High School and from 14 years old i wanted to be a writer. I am talented in that field, i have written poems and two books. Everyone said that they were so powerful of meaning and that i am really blessed. I love writing, it is like a religious for me. When i don't write, i feel that i have lost a part of me and that i need to find it again to be me, and noone else. My character is not so you, i am shy and i barely talk to people. 1) Should i make true my dream come true? 2)What other might say? I love writing! But no one knows except my hole family that i have made an application to go to university studying writing!

Hello, do not let anyone or anything get in your way to achieve your dreams, if that is what you have your heart set on then go for it,don't worry being shy you will mix a lot with other students this will go in time.

If you want to write in English then have someone who is well educated to proof read your work...

You can achieve anything if you put your heart and soul into it, University will help you reach your goals..Best of Luck Cheers.

Most writers are very shy. You have to look at what you want to do exactly.. write screen-plays, books ( what kind) or just poetry.
Poetry actually doesn't pay the rent... but you should contact an agent and work with them. You actually don't have to do any public speaking because your agent will do that. But promoting your materials you may want to talk,
Now my mother published a few poems in the 70's and I come from a family of artists, writers or actors. I know the need to get it out, so I would look in my area and find an agent to get you published.
Don't give up... once you give up you are done. You have to keep going, and there will be times that it is hard. But, our dreams are hard to obtain. Once achieved, that is when we appreciate the obstacles that got in the way. Run with it.... take it as far as you can. When you get knocked down, get up again. In the end it will make you a great person.
By the way, who cares what people think of you or what they might say. The question is, What do you think about yourself? You are the only one you need to make happy. Don't live for what others think of you... live for yourself.

GO FOR IT!!! We are given limited opportunities in our life to fulfill our dreams. Carpe Diem! (sieze the day!) If writing is what makes you happy and confident then there isnt anything wrong with following your dream. Some people have regretted not following their dreams and it has made them bitter and unhappy for the rest of their life.
You are young and you have the chance to make your dream come true, so dont let anyone get in the way of pursuing your goal. We live only once, we cannot live our life according to what others might think or say. Everyone has always something to say and every so often it might not be very encouraging, it would be pointless to let them affect what could make you happy.
Study Hard! Good Luck!

If you do not share your writing, put it out into the world, your gift will not continue to grow. Why don't you start small and submit a poem or two on Poetry.com I have had two poems published in their annual anthologies so far. They don't pay you, it is for amateur poets, but it helps get your words out there..

Go to college...follow your dream...learn the mechanics and structure of writing...now while your young. It is soooo much harder when you are older and have other obligations...like work and family... Don't worry about what others say...it is a noble profession and you can make money at it...Best wishes!!

If u are not so comfortable in English, carry on writing in your mother tongue. Oh yes. Please do carry on writing because u appear to love it all by ur heart. And I feel that there is no wrong in going for higher studies in writing. But please be absolutely sure that whatever decisions u take, prove u right and show ur talent. And make sure that it affords ur basic needs........

All the Best... :-)

I would say stick to writing in your native language because you are very hard to follow in broken English. Other than that, go for it! But be sure you have a plan B so that you can eat and pay rent and such.

If you love writing, just follow your passion. Nobody knows you can be a famous writer one day.

Good, go for it! But, also have contingency plans, in position. It is always wise to have contingency plans, to cater for unexpected exigencies that may arise, without notice.
