Yes they should as they are not sick from a virus are they, it will teach them not to eat too many sweets, they should still go.

If they are sick to the stomach because they ate too much candy I would send them to school. They have bathrooms there that they can use. If it's a fever I would keep them home. Candy isn't going to cause a fever, just a stomach ache. Next time limit their intake of candy to so many pieces a night

Are you kidding, of course.
Probably just a sugar high.
If they stay home today, can they eat more candy and stay out tomorrow, the next day and next day?
What a scam.

You are just as much to blame as they are for allowing them to eat that much in the first place. Yes they need to go school tomorrow and they'll be fine in the morning. Parents who let their kids get away with anything and succumb to the role reversal of kids being the parents and rule-makers are why most people can't stand the majority of kids today, becasue they aren't made to follow any rules. If your child doesn't learn responsibility for their own actions now, he/she won't ever learn it.

Send them to school. They'll get over it. And where were you, Mom, when your kids were eating all this candy?

No all it does is distract the class and have the teacher make an unnecessary telephone call to you and trip for you when you knew they weren't feeling well anyway. It is our job as a parent to discipline our children about self-control and the consequences when we don't practice it. Next time limit it to one or two small pieces a day.
