Some games do seem deliberately aimed at different age brackets, and I find myself playing many designed for younger people myself. Some cutesy puzzlers never lose their charm, I find. The delivery of RPGs oft seem aimed at the age brackets of the main character, but the game playability itself can draw others as well.
I don't think it's possible to be too old for games, if you're enjoying them, what's stopping you? Do you want to stop playing games altogether? Because companies aim games at certain brackets, doesn't make them right ;)

Nobody is too old for any game. An age rating in a game is just a guide, for example a game with a 3+ bracket doesn't mean it most suited for a child the age of three, it just means it doesn't contain violence, drugs, sex, swearing etc.
If you enjoy a game then don't stop playing it because of your age, these games are made to be enjoyed by everyone.

If you were playing games like Barbie or Dora the Explorer then YES. Games like Pokemon not really. After all you realize how many games are the same basic idea except a little older.

No. Back when Pokemon first came out, one of my kids was really into it... had all the strategy guides and got every version that came out.. He had Pokemon cards too... Finally I asked for a Pokemon Blue so I could try it out myself and I ended up finishing the game twice.... The second time just so I could fill the Pokedex with every Pokemon in the game...

You're never too old to play games that are aimed at younger kids. I'm in my 30's & if I still had my very first nintendo deck (8bit system) I'd be playing all those games I had & then some. Some games are just plain fun to play, even if you've played them a million times. So don't worry about it, just have fun :)

Ha, ha, ha.
I'm 29 and I play Pokemon....
Seriously; I've been playing games since 1983 and I have never let myself worry about whether a game is too young for me.
We play to have fun. So if it's fun, keep playing!

The only game that you can be too old for is a learning game, which aren't really even games, just school disguised as something fun. Anyway, there is no age limit to games, no matter what the game or your age, so have at it.

At the end of the day it comes down to gameplay. I'm 27 and play my DS on the train to work and back everyday with games like Mario, Animal Crossing etc. On the surface these games look quite "kiddy" but they are just so damn playable, so don't let it stop you.

i dont think your too old. all that is important when playing a game is that it is fun and you enjoy the game. im 25 and i still play pokemon games, and so does alot of my cousins who are older than i am. a game is made for entertainment. as long as your still entertained by it all is good. example: i still play pokemon cause of the humor in it, and also building up the pokemon to beat the crap out of my cousins pokemon he raised up.

You are NEVER to old to play any games, If you like it, Play it! I am 36 and my daughter (2 & 1/2) and i have just finished Piglets big game and Winnie the Pooh's rumbly tummy adventure on the Game cube and we are going to play the Dora the Explorer game next ( i play the games and she watches and tells me what to do!). When she has gone to bed i am currently playing Resident Evil 4 on the cube and Prey on the 360. " You dont stop playing because you get old. You get old because you stop playing."
