Poem called "Why Doesn't She Come?" - no p***taking answers please?

I read this poem at school, almost had it memorised, then lost it. It's bugging me - I can't find a copy anywhere. Do you know the author or know where I can find it please? The first few lines are
"Why doesn't she come?
I know we said eight
Or was it half past?
That clock must be fast..."

Don't know the poem and I can't get my head around not giving an attempt at humour for an answer.

As you are at school, I'm not sure that that sort of answer is appropriate from somone old enough to be your dad.
