pine-sol

my mom always used it to clean everything.

now, no matter how clean a house is, it doesn't seem right unless i can smell pine-sol.

when i do smell it i usually recall a certain scenario... spring time, window open, curtains swaying in and out on the breeze, am radio playing soft rock, and my mom singing while mopping the kitchen floor

good times... awwww.... thankyou, God bless :)

This may sound weird, but the smell of car exhaust...

Reminds me of getting on the bus at the end of a school day.

Smoke from a fireplace. It was our heat source. The house had two. Sometimes, we burned wood....but, mostly coal.

That "sweaty outdoor kid" scent...can't describe it, but it is pungent. Like when a kid has been outside all day playing. Like me and my brother when we were kids!
