Hello, I am a Chinese teaching English in my home country. For many years, it's

been my wildest dream to watch BBC TV programs to improve my English. You know,

it's illegal for an individual to own one satellite aerial here in China, so I

can't receive the satellite signals. But I can go online (ADSL) at home, how can

I watch BBC TV programs(.e.g. BBC world) on the Internet?

Thanks a lot!

Do you require BBC? While they are good they are not the only choice. Also, BBC is British English, and as a former teacher I know the US dialect is both more common and desirable today.

The direct answer is, I don't believe BBC is available online in China. As a resident of China, I know BBC is blocked by China's firewall. The only way to get it is through a proxy, and I don't want to give anyone my proxy for fear that overuse will cause China to cut it off, sorry.

In your position I would suggest searching for individual programs on Limewire or Azureus, download and watch them.
