I'm not one of these firefox maniacs, in fact i use IE 7 and like it better than firefox. I haven't used IE6 in 2 years. It's garbage, and leaves your computer wide open for viruses and spyware.
Microsoft left a lot of people behind with the new update, people still using win 98, and windows 2000 are getting left behind. If your computer doesn't support IE7, downloading firefox is your best option. It's light years ahead of IE6, you will be happy with it, i guarantee it.

Seriously, I have seen nothing but negative comments about IE7. And if your computer does not support it...then tell us what the exact reason is. Are you getting an error? Is your computer just not meet the requirements? Let me know this and I will help you.

I have IE 7 for work purposes and hate it. I recommend, if you haven't already, downloading Firefox and using that (Opera works too). You can get it at http://www.mozilla.com/ or Opera at http://www.opera.com/

I can think of no good reason to get IE7, except as a developer/designer to see what your users will see in it.

Restore it back to the previous version you had. I have heard nothing but negative things about the new IE7. System Restore!
