Nothing that has not been happening throughout history, where powerful men expend innocent lives in their quest for more power, and im sad to say they will continue to do so as long as we the people allow it, whether from ignorance or apathy.

Neither, it is for economic motives. If war isn't profitable , there would be no war. You can bet your bottom dollar that in every war, or police action, some country is profiting from it financially. Everything in this secular world seems to revolve around the almighty dollar.

it is for oil,
it is for strategic positioning against future trouble makers
it is for telling other religions that they still are far behind
it is for votes
it is for the fall of another country and to gain economic and development markets for one
it is to make the people happy and believe in power of govts.
it is for ego
it is for a son's revenge
it is for creating newer markets for arms and weapons
it is to create business where it is not available
it is a human fallacy to make the right appear wrong
it is to hide problems in ones own countries
it is to diversify people to newer issues
it is to create evening news to keep people occupied
