Tony Bliar wants to raise taxes to solve global warming. Can somebody please explain how taxing me even more is going to cure global warming? Do I still need to get to work? Yes. Do I still want to travel? Yes.

How will Blair get on holiday? Fly, of course. One rule for him, another rule for the rest of us.

So how about public transport? He wants us to use it. What public transport? Outside of big cities the bus services are terrible. The railway has been starved of cash for years and meddled about so much by Blair and his cronies that nobody knows what is going on any more.

Grrrr!

I can see raising taxes if its really going to solve this problem. if its as big a problem as they say then yes or we wont have to worry about any of the little problems like retirement, gas for our cars etc. Public transportation where i live in NE IOWA is little to none. What is ridiculous is that just about every licensable teenager has a car they drive to school. When we are paying taxes to run the school buses and they are maybe half full at the most. Then the city says we have to raise the taxes cuz we need to make additional parking for the kids. There is no reason these kids cant ride the bus to school. Everything is gettin way out of control.

It's really like car insurance. Nobody likes paying car insurance but it can save our butts later. If we invest now we may end up avoiding bigger problems later. Global warming might not be bad as people say, but some people never get in car accidents either.
