Why not stop the stupidity and just elect the Dem's and let them show us what they can do ? I mean we already let the Reps screw it all up and Kerry isn't even running for anything so get off the propaganda they want you on and start looking At THE REAL FACTS HERE, We are in serious places all because Mr bush lied to us and put no value on our young peoples lives, he is sacrificing them to the tune of 100 a month and you folks are worried that Kerry who isn't running for anything at all insulted them accidentally? Come on does this look stupid to anyone but me? You all are being led around by your noses and boy do you look stupid. Never will I ever let Mr push lie to be ever again, If you people do not demand a write in vote this Thursday and everyone watch for results in your precinct and make alot of noise if reps are winning and you can't even find anyone who voted for them you will deserve the corrupt and totally inhumane leaders you will get.

I think he should do a tour of duty. Let's see if he's smart enough to survive. For those who say its a free country, you are absolutely right---however a political leader should have some amount of discretion about insulting the people that defend the country. Do you think there wouldn't have been a huge outcry if he had said "you better work hard getting an education or you'll end up a garbage collector"? or fast food worker? or taxi driver?

No, he has already put his life on the line once for our country, a better suggestion would be to make bush, chaney or rumsfield serve in Iraq then they might get a clue as to what is really happening over there instead of just moving their play pieces on a risk board game and thinking they have the upper hand.

True.. Not prudent.

But come on, we all know that the military *is* the last choice available for many young people who do not do well in school, or even socially.

It is no insult, the military advertises parents considering letting the kids join the military after looking around and seeing gangs and pregnant kids

Yes, he is an elected official who works for the United States (we pay his salary). He is not a civilian who is covered by freedom of speech. He should be made accountable for his slander. The brave men and woman who gave their life fighting for this country deserve better. I think he is borderline treasonous with his statements as they are already posted in the middle eastern countries where they see his statements as victory against us. Maybe we shouldn't send him to Iraq just put him in a room alone for 5 minutes with the father of a soldier that gave his life for our country.

No. Kerry spoke his mind. If he meant to insult the troops are not, he should not be sent anywhere. This is a free country. People can say what ever they want, no matter how stupid and not face forced repercussions. If the troops are insulted, then they are. They are smart enough to deal with it and they certainly understand that what people say, whether they agree or not is one of the many freedoms they are trusted to protect. Kerry is just a citizen. Just like you, me or any other soldier.

it is quite revealing that the republicans pounce on this misinterpretation of kerry's comments instead of defending the true reasons why american troops should be in iraq...let us hope that more and more americans will see through this deception come nov 7

The troops hate Kerry and can see right through this arrogant fake. They're not dumb.

He should be sent with a rifle and told he can come home when the war is over or he's dead.
