omg! lol I loved all those games! And my childhood wasn't to far ago...i'm 13! lol
My favorite was Chutes and Ladders...I liked Hi-Ho-Cherry-O but it was a pain to get all those stupid apples in the box!!
I Hated Twister! I was little so i didn't no my right from my left!!
Umm...hmm...lets see...OMG BATTLESHIP!!! THAT GAME ROCKS!!!
And I can't remember what that other game was but it was like a giant pin ball machine!! and 4-6 people could play at a time and you would try to get the least number of balls in your cup.

I loved Monopoly and Risk, but those games are for older kids--the ones you list are for young children. When I was younger, we played "Sorry!" which was a lot of fun. I have fond memories of playing board games as a family on days that the schools were closed due to snow--my parents were both teachers, so we were all home on those days.

lots of pretty good ones, but I think Monopoly has been a front runner for decades and will continue to be a front runner for a good while. Monopoly is my favorite and I think that it is so well known that it is the greastest board game ever. Battleship rules!!!
