Yep there are some overpaid players in the Premiership. But the Premiership isn't the only football in the world. Lower down the leagues many professional footballers only earn an average working wage in a job that is unlikely to last much past their 30th birthday. If you don't like the Premiership remove yourself from your comfy chair in front of the tv and go and watch a non-league match.

I don't agree. The things some of these footballers can do with their feet couldn't be done by many with their hands and feet. It's a beautiful game to watch when it comes together and if they're paid millions - good for them, they've earned it surely with all that running around for 90+ minutes.

Players are only paid what they're worth. They bring vast sums of money to clubs week in and week out- not many other entertainers or sports stars can draw crowds like that on a regular basis. People want to watch them and pay to go see them. It's no different to any other form of entertainment (although infinitely more exciting!)

Clearly you don't understand football, or sports in general.
These players earn what they are worth. They generate vast amounts of money for their clubs and draw a large crossection of fans. In addition, the skill they possess is immense. Some players ARE overpaid i must admit, but generally, football is a game of skill, excitement and action so they are worth it.

no player is worth the stupid amount of money they get. however it's a game of two halves and hopefully at the end of ninety minutes there will be some sort of result.
