Yes you can for sure. All that it means when T Mobile don't use that phone is that they never passed it for use in their package.
You know that Orange will have to release the EIN for the phone for use on another network?
This is only true if you got your handset dorect from Orange. If it from a re-seller like phones 4 u, carphone whorehouse, then it should work straight away.
Why would I get a thumbs down for this??
I am a project manager at 3, this is a statement of actual fact not a best guess like most of these answers??

Yes it will when unlocked. I'm with Orange and every year I give my old handset to my mum who is with T-mobile. To be extra sure, ask in the place you're getting it unlocked first.

Probably not - without a bit of intervention. Each phone company locks the phones they distribute to their own network. You can usually get them unlocked and it'll cost about £10 at your local market.

yes you can but you have to fone up orange ad get the PAC code for your fone then you ring up t-mobile and switch networks

yes, but if they have a network lock, u may need to remove the lock, may cost u around £10 for that. first try if it works.
