we can stop terrorist then can avoid terrorism

We face a tough challenge: Terrorists stop at nothing, as their escalating attacks have shown.

We need to use ALL the most effective strategies to forcefully stop the criminals while minimizing harm to innocent civilians. We can also outsmart the terrorists, encouraging their communities to help us deny them further recruits and support.

Terrorists use psychological warfare. Here is how we can win - and also create a more peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.

We can communicate far more strongly to Muslim countries and the world that:

* Our real enemies are terror, totalitarianism, fanaticism, and the poverty that they exploit.

* We - every nation and every person of good will - are not fighting the Arab or Muslim people.

* The West has made great efforts to aid and defend Muslims. Seven times in the last 12 years, the United States has sent armed forces to help oppressed Muslims: Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Somalia, Bosnia and Kosovo.

* Suicide and murder of innocent people violates Islamic law. All of our traditions share ideals of peace and justice. Differences are resolved better with peaceful communication.

* Ruthless totalitarians such as Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and the mullahs in Iran have hijacked entire nations, causing widespread Muslim suffering.

* Muslim and Arab people are also often killed in the terrorist attacks. For example, New York City has a large Muslim population, and many were killed in the September 11 World Trade Center attack.

* Everyone will gain from a peaceful resolution of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Both sides need restraint.

* Our anti-terror Muslim allies need to stop propaganda and press coverage that omits Arab atrocities and feeds fanatical hatred of the West. Together, we must actively stop "charitable" organizations from funding killers.

* With great opportunities and resources, Western and Muslim countries together can do much more to address the root causes of terrorism - the social injustices that radicalize populations. Terrorism breeds where hundreds of millions of people live in poverty, totalitarianism and ignorance.

It is VERY important that we back up our words with concrete, positive action. Just as the Marshall plan did after WW II, a proactive, large-scale and well-managed aid plan can get to the root of the problems that produce fanaticism.

We should make every effort to make sure our message gets through to totalitarian countries like Afghanistan and Iraq, even if it requires saturation "bombing" them with food, literature and radio broadcasts.

We fully support well-targeted efforts to bring the killers and their protectors to justice, but we also need to set a very constructive course - now - before it is too late.

Obvoiusly getting rid of religion would be a help and I don't mean getting rid of believing in a god. To make that work you would then have to get rid of poverty, and greed on the part of developed countries. Then you would somehow have to instill tolerance and understanding between all people. It really is just a pipe dream isn't it? So I guess terrorism will continue until hopefully it is realized that that is a waste of time.

Let people know the Truth.Make them aware that we all are children of one GOD.The word HATE frequently used by our English speaking masses needs to be given a burial for good.Today we all are surviving on this planet due to continuous flow of love of GOD.His flow stops and we shall cease to exists.Terrorism ,hatred &violence are all man made and manifests in those humans who are ignorent, egoistic&self centered. These are the people who have very narrow or no
visions at all. God of any religion or any faith is not pleased with hatred ,killing or violence ,if somebody is propogating this concept then his thoughts/beliefs are misplaced and such people need to be avoided or ignored. They make religion a mockery & infuse communal passion & hatred. To wipe out terrorism wipe out Hatred. It is possible to love everyone only by taking your self realisation.Visit sahajayoga for the Devine experiance.

Terrorism can be stopped only in a situation where we have equal rights and opportunities.

Terrorism will be stopped only when all the terrorists are dead or in prison. I say this because the only thing they understand is death and they do not fear death. People who are opposed to terrorism must rise up and say stop what you are doing. They must fight back and not only with words but with actions. The Iraqis who voted and showed off their purple fingers were fighting back with actions. All good people in all lands must continue to fight back with actions such as these.

have one unified religion or stop making religion the center of attention all the time. Yeah there's probably a god and it's most likely the same for all. Get off your high-horses you religious nutjobs. ;P
