all depends on the type of party, 4 hrs or so for adults 2 hrs for a kids party. Plenty to eat and drink

At least 8 hours.You need plenty of ice drinks nibbles toilet roll and people lots of females essential good music to cover the time plus basic plumbing skills come in handy.

a good party should start at say 8pm, and finish at about 5-6am!
Essentials - booze and food and people and music!!
Essentials for the next morning - anadin extra and a good friend who will clean up for you!!

If you are the host, be prepeared for it to go on all night, but dont be disapointed if it doesn't.
The most important thing you need is people. If the party isn't busy, there wont be a brilliant atmosphere

depends, on the type of party, eg, kids adult, xmas, birthday as this all helps, kids jelly and ice cream and pass the parcel always goes down well
adults plenty of drink, poss kareoke and some adult games, birthdays just generally party
