I usually stir away from opinionated question like this because i like to stir away from frivolous answers... but you need an intervention so here goes....
Men and women are alike in that respect trust me i have been cheated on by virtually every woman i have ever been with, you at this point time may be thinking, what a f.. looser! well I guess so but what separates me from others is my ability to accept and understand that every situation is separate and unique and i can therefore cannot possibly make such generalizations nor can i pass judgement on every single woman . not only is that absurd it is also ridiculous and unethical of you!
Unless every man (******) that has ever hurt you meets on thursday nights for a secret meeting of the "messing with your life club" you must come to a clear conclusion, there is one thing in common with all this guys...ready?
IT'S YOU!!! thats right now I'm not saying blame yourself but I am asking you to look inside really hard and try to modify yourself in whatever respect you may conclude turns you to choose this type of guys. and then remember that the past does not equal the future, good luck!
oh p.s( biologically speaking the cave dwellers have left still specific genetic-behavioral imprints that, at the time for survival , had to be. in the case of men the bio-urge is to copulate with as many females as possible to ensure his continuity and the female's bio-goal is to choose the so called "alpha-male". that is why nice guys finish last!)

Men cheat for the physical enjoyment (sex) woman cheat for emotional needs. If there is good communication and sex when one partner wants it there will not be cheats

Any number of reasons: fear of: is this all there is going to be in my life any more? I need a some reassurance that I'm still attractive to the opposite sex. I'm just horny and...hey she's there and willing so why not? My wife doesn't understand me..my marriage is practically over anyways...there's too much stress in my life, work, kids, chores at home, in-laws...you name it. Pick a reason, I could probably come up with more.

why do women cheat on their partners
why do people cheat at cards, cut in line?
A person who cheats is like a person who destroys...while their partner,spouse,boyriend/girlfriend is trying to build.

The only difference is men are nowhere near as adept at practising deception and tend to get caught out more than women do.
