and I think, the answer is.. 'depends'

It depends on how you perceive people, how much you can trust. The world has, of late become meaner, just as gradually n silently as it has warmed up (coutesy global warming)

People, nowadyas, are much more eccentric and self-centred. Their first priority is they, them and themselves. At best you'd come across ones who put their family ahead of everything else, but even they put their family ahead, not friends.

True friendship is a term, I fear, would soon exist on the planet as a metaphor, or a ghost. Somethin' only rare/lucky people would get to experience..

But nonetheless, I hope you don't have a strict criterion for your friends-to-be!

Yes i believe there are. I have about 7 true friends in this world and they mean the world to me. They are people that i can talk to about certain things and how i trust. They are people who would never leave me in a time of hardship and need, but instead come to me and help me. I have gone through some hard times in my life and no matter what they stay with me. They care for me. They love me. That is something so special that when you have it, don't ever let it go!

There no scarcity of anything except some man-made things.. Our problem is that people often expect best of the best but they forget the other person also expects the same.. If you are trying to find a true friend you dont have to run here and there just try to find in yourself first.. If you are genuin most probably you will attract the good people around you... but one sided expectations could hardly be fulfilled...

It is very hard to find true friends anymore. Me personally, I have alot of acquaintances, but very few true friends, which is sad. I know this didn't answer your question, but i too have problems finding true friends. My ex husband had sex with all of mine, so i'm not the one to give u any answers, just wanted to put my two cents in.

yes there are plenty of true friends and I think they reflect ourselves.They are sometimes very similar to ourselves as I feel we look for friends with similar qualities to ours.They come in all different shapes and sizes but no matter what they look like it's how they relate to us that counts.

yes there is...even they're not perfect as u wanted to..but true friend does exist! "friend in need.. is the friend indeed".. true friend comes when u broke down, whn u really hurted, whn u really want someone to listen to ur problems, etc.. they come to encourage you.. that's true friend..they never leave ya!

true friend is one who is sincere to us and is ready to help us when we are in need of help.

but we can only recognize our true friends only during times of adversity.
