has anyone had an issue with being overweight whilst ttc? if so, how long did it take to concieve, or what did you do to increase your chances?

I was/am overweight, and did not have any problems conceiving.

The midwife was concerned with my BMI(Body Mass Index) with the second pregnancy, but I had no problems.

This is just me, everyone is different.

Best of luck.

Hi

Im trying to concieve now but am having to have fertility treatment as i have pcos. I lost alot of weight after being told i had to do so by the hospital and still didn't concieve and after the hospital put me on a break from my treatment i had a lot of menstrual problems and put on all of my weight again. I know how heart breaking it can be but stay strong and keep trying you will get there in the end. I know so many people that are very obese and still caught pregnant so i believe weight has no influence at all.

Kepp trying mate you will get there.

I am overweight and got pregnant super easy. My mom said i would have problems because of the weight but i didn't. The only problem is you will have to watch when your pregnant for high blood pressure and diebetes. I want another baby i need to lose a little weight first just so i can cut down the chances of complications, last time i had high blood pressure and my baby was big 9lb 9oz but very healthy. Good luck make sure your try 14 days past first day of period.

I was overweight last time (3rd) but it didnt make any difference to me.The only thing I would say is try not to overeat when you are pregnant as its really hard to shift after if you are prone to weight gain

Don't worry about weight, you will get there fat or thin unless there are other problems.
