If someone which is below 16 wants to rent a movie which is NC16 in the cinema, is it illegal?

No, it is not illegal. The ratings assigned to a movie by the MPAA are only guidelines, but some video outlets (such as Blockbuster) and most theaters follow them voluntarily. There is no law against renting, buying, or watching a movie "above your age."

Depending on which country I guess. Here in SG, they wouldn't mind too much, unless the clerk decides to be anal and check your IC. But it isn't a big issue compared to underage drinking and smoking.

I don't think you can get busted for watching a NC16 movie. I would say, take the risk, hell, NC16 wouldn't show nudity or too much vaulger words anyway.

Yes...

think about it. NC16 probably means no admission below sixteen yrs of age. which means everyone 15 yrs and younger CAN'T watch that movie. however, if he/she is 16 then it's prefectly fine!

depends if that person has sum 1 older that can get themin with no problem.
up to the person or jst wait til it comes out on dvd
