What you need to do is kill the first one that knocks on your door after 8pm. Nail the body to your front door. This will act as a deterant to other, would be callers.
You might, however, find that the police may get you out of bed, following complaints from neighbours though.

my only reference to halloween this year was two days before hand, when i went to a restaurant with my friends, and the head waiter was dressed as a devil, and the bar man as the thing from scream. after that nothing!
No trick or treaters at all came to my house... even though i saw some on the way home from work yesterday!
It was great. the first time that i have ever barely noticed halloween.

I agree!
I'm 16 but I can't stand halloween. Why would I want to give anyone my sweets just because they knock on my door dressed up as the Devil or whatever? So I just ignore them, but they still stand there for five minutes banging on the door! Why??? Obviously I'm not going to open the door to them so can't they just go? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I am absolutly glad it is over. Here in the UK it is nothing but an excuse for shops to sell stuff! 5 years ago Haloween was nothing in the UK, now, because shops promote it like hell, it has become simply a sales industry!
Also, anti social behaviour, slightly worse that you describe, is now a real problem on the night. It is now one of the most highly policed evenings across the UK now.
So marketing has created a phenomena that simply promotes anti social behaviour in the UK! Great!
I am glad it's over!

Again, the minority making the fun well, not fun! I had some trick or treaters last night and they were all taller than me, not hard when i'm only 5'3 but i was standing up a foot in the house compared to them!
I'm sorry halloween is over cos it was my birthday and it means i'm now back to not being pampered!
Also it means the guild wars halloween event is over for another year! *sob*

Absolutely in agreement with you. I don't object to them dressing up and having some fun but I don't answer my door like the big misery that I am!!! I sit with the lights off and the tv turned down and pretend I'm out or else I request to wotk night shift on Halloween. There, I said it now. I'll start receiving hate mail (again) but I don't care.

Mine wasn't too bad. I live in a really quiet neighbourhood and the only person that came around was some 5 year old kid. He had four adults with him as well. Anyway since it was getting late and nobody else arrived all five of my callers got a chocolate treat that night!!!

In the Occult Halloween is one of the highest days for their covens. Believe it or not human sacrifices are quite normal. Look up Bohemian Grove on the net and follow the links. This is serious stuff, dressed up like sugar candy. Most parents don't know this.

I had some fun, went to an organised event. Certainly didn't knock on peoples door, and I don't answer mine late at night whatever night it is.

Stop your yapping and just stock up on more sweets next time! Remember the time you posted a question on YA and all you were really doing was moaning about someone who called you a bad name? Grown up!
