It seems like madness I know but here's why I do it....
I pluck my eyebrows into an arch so that they frame my eyes nicely, and then I define them with a pencil.
You don't draw back in what you've just plucked - you emphasise the shape you've created.
And the reason you pluck 'em is so they don't look like a boy's caterpiller type brows.
Having said that I've NEVER understood those women who pluck their eyebrows completely and just draw a line over their eyes instead. Really weird

They decide on a eyebrow shape, pluck the out the bits thats not suppose to be there and then draw the pencil over the hair still there to make it look full, or either to darken it! For those who shave off all of it and then draw the fake eyebrow.....just plain wierd!!

LOL.
I have often wondered the same thing.
I pluck my eyebrows, but have never used a pencil to draw them in. It makes no sense. And looks ugly.

I pluck my eyebrows just to give them shape and they look better, but some girls do shave all there eyebrows off and then pencil them back in this is just wrong not only do they look constantly surprised you cant help but stare at them, they must look weird when they wash them off at night.

I have my eyebrows waxed into a nice shape, but they still look really natural; not a thin little line. I will say that as women get older they start to lose their eyebrows, so some women draw them back on.

Well I dont pluck mine as they are really fine and blond so you cant see them, but I do pencil them in everyday as I look a bit strange without any! I find it very enjoyable as I can change my brows according to my mood, if I wanna look happy then big old arches, or if im mad then big bushy liam gallagher brows!
Its brill, I can change the clours and everything, its great big fun on a stick!

More often than not - they tend to over pluck them and before they know it there's little left. Only thing left to do is remove and draw them back!

dear max, the reason is quite simple, they do so because they do not like the pattern of the original one so, they pluck it and line it back with an eye liner according to their taste.
hope you are satisfied with that. Do have a nice day.
