My money is on the Bears in the playoffs and having a close game and making it to the Super Bowl... The pace in the playoffs is a lot tougher than regular season, and Rex Grossman has played successfully in a Orange bowl and a SEC championship game. He is no stranger to smash mouth football at a rapid pace playing under Spurrier in the SEC. Miami was the fastest player on earth and Rex experience that by baptism by fire. Patriots looked good as they did last year, but Lovie Smith a Nuevo Rich coach with the Florida Factor (Three Players from Florida on the Chicago--Past Roomamates of Rex). The famnily atmosphere is terrific and they know what it means to win. In addition, Chris Leak is breakig all of Rex's records and he needs to make a new dynasty. He is tough and he does not play football for the money, but for the love of football.

The Patriots are definitely a better team than the Bears. However the Patriots have a more difficult road to the Super Bowl. Look at the last decade. The AFC has ruled over the NFC. Some of the top contenders for the Superbowl crown this year are New England, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Denver, and San Diego.
Sorry New Orleans, I don't think your team is seasoned enough to contend.
The Bears have yet to play any really tough teams. The Bears will get more of a litmus test agains the Giants this week. People can contend that yeah they blew out Seattle, but Seattle is playing mediocre at best this year, tied with St. Louis. You also have to take into account they barely beat Minnesota and Arizona. The Patriots just got through blowing out Minnesota at Minnesota. Seriously, which would you think is better the team that blows out the team or the one that barely beats the same team.
The guy who says that the Patriots lack talent is delusional. They've won 3 Superbowls and a bunch of the best talent in the NFL have taken pay cuts just to be a player there. I don't like the Patriots, they are arrogant and show boaty. I'm a Colts fan, but you have to respect how good the Patriots are.

To the idiot who claimed the Pats are a "better" team: there is a LOT more that goes into deciding which is the "better" team, like actual talent, offensive strength, defensive strength and so on. It is NOT simply a case of which drunken Irishman yells the loudest at a "Father's" Pub in downtown Boston! (That would be the reason that in over 10 separate "power rankings" by sports organizations and commentators the Pats are ranked ahead of the Bears in ONLY ONE! - and that guy is pretty much an idiot, too....)
I also think the Bears at this point. The Patriots are cruising on Belichick's and Brady's brilliance and little else at this point, If you consider the actual talent level on the team aside from Brady, they are not even in the top 5 AFC teams... Whereas the Bears have to be rated as the most complete and dangerous team in the NFL up to this point of the season.
I think that in the AFC, the Colts, Broncos and even Ravens all have a better shot at the SB than the Pats while in the NFC, the Seahawks (even when healthy) the Giants and the Falcons would really be stretching it to knock off those Bears........

The Bears have jumped out fast but they are going to be facing some tougher teams. The eventual Super Bowl Champs will come from the AFC by the way.

Patriots are a better team, but since the NFC offers a signicantly lower amount of competition I say the Bears

the Bears have a much better chance, i dont see anyone who can knock them out in the NFC, especially since they'll end up with Homefield throughout.
The Patriots will have to go through the Colts, Broncos, Chargers, etc.
