Probably a game to go with that game console. Or an MP3 player.

Radio shack has some pretty cool science experimentor kits,, the electronics ones are fun. You could try a set of books. Tolkien would be great for that age,, or piers anthony,, the XANTH series, the first 5 books are really great, or the ADEPT series,, these are fun reading.

Mp3 players are the kids range now.... or how about a new sterio for his bedroom? Has he got free view in his bedroom? How about some nice clothes... kids have gotta look good nowa days so how about some nice sports clothes like a nice tracksuit and new trainers. I dont know its so hard to choose isn't it? Good luck and have a nice xmas anyway.

If he hasnt got any of these things I would suggest : an ipod, a mobile phone, trainers, namebrand clothing. These are the sort of stuff that boys like these days

My sister gets her kids to write lists of what they want and then picks out a few things on the lists. She makes sure that they know that they won't get everything on the list.

Get him toy cars. Or cap guns. Or a game for the game console.

Mine wants an ipod. Ask him what he wants, or what his mates want. Think about his hobbies, or what he'd like to try - music? Is he sporty? (Would he like to play hockey, for example, but needs a good stick?)

Those wheel things that fit onto your trainers are brilliant (about £15).
